the boss is eating!!

yes. on 14th June 2009, after pojie and alifah's wedding, we decided it was time to feed ashraff. earlier that day, after the weds in putrajaya,i stopped at manjaku to get the food- Farley's Rusks and Netum Beras Merah. since he is not 6months yet, i decided to start with the rusk first.

We all know the rusk right? that creamy, roundshaped biscuit that when added hot water/hotmilk will melt into a guweeee consistency, suitable for baby's first food (and hungry mums! hahaha)

and so we started small, i broke half of a half biscuit and added small amount of S26 and poured in some hot water. while i was mixing it near ashraff, he made that cak cak sound, indicating he is ready to be fed (wah!). i had ready his bib, some kain and another bottle of water.

the first attempt, i was holding ashraff and mama started feeding him. it went everywhere, his nose, side of his lips, everywhere bsides actually going into the mouth. haha.. plus he kept on wanting to hold the spoon himself, making it all become a slight mess...then after finishing that small amount, he was still hungry so i had to rush to make him a bottle.

2nd attempt pulak, i had bibik help suapkan, and she pretty much nailed it. this time i had ready bib, kain, bottle of water and a bottle of his milk. instead of half of a half, i gave him a half of a full biscuit, and he finished it...waited a few minutes, then cried for his milk.

before the 3rd attempt, i manage to get him those really cool spoons that changes colour if the food is too hot. and it was more smoothly this time and a full biscuit with no milk after that.

the boss is sleeping longer at nite times, making it easier on my sleeping pattern, cuma his pee is smelly giler or is it my supersensitive smellBud for my last pregnancy hasnt really gone away??

mmmm..

im reading a whole lot on starting solids, and looking into getting a electric hand blender instead ofthem bulky ones, to help mash all them food...it looks kewl, always see it on AFC where them chefs puree soups..but still havent decided yet.
